Beauty for a long time I looked for you ... The ordinary in photos.

The photos, often in black and white taken with my phone in my pocket, capture the ordinary but above all the beauty, the truth and the goodness of the ordinary. The daily life of the streets of New York, a feather in a garden, the face of a child are snapshots of the encounter with the beauty that God inspires in everyone, and that we often seek like Saint Augustine “Beauty [...] late have I loved you. Lo, you were within, but I outside, seeking there for you ". I believe the Transcendent; for me, God, comes to seek us in this beautiful good true of life. This is what you are sharing with these photos.

«  When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars that you set in place—What is man that you are mindful of him, and a son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him little less than a god, crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him rule over the works of your hands, put all things at his feet […] O LORD, our Lord, how awesome is your name through all the earth! » (Ps 8, 4-10) the Bible

«It is without artifice that beauty is most sparkling» Saint Jerome

« In my vivid experience of beauty, there is a truth, a truth that I do not seek to define, but of which I have a strong conviction! » Denis Hétier, director of the Institut de Théologie des Arts de Paris
